COMMON QUESTIONS

Please reach me through the Contact page on this site if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We will set up a brief phone consultation, where we can discuss what is bringing you to therapy and answer any questions you may have.

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the Community Resource Model (CRM). I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, ensuring you receive the support necessary to navigate your specific circumstances whether you are an adolescent, adult, or someone facing professional isolation due to high self-sufficiency demands.

If I am unable to meet your scheduling or financial needs, I will try my best to assist you in finding appropriate referrals.

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes long.
  • Group sessions are 75 minutes.
  • Single sessions are 90 minutes.

  • The single therapy session rate  (a one-time therapy session scheduled within 24 hours) is $300.
  • The individual therapy session rate (for ongoing therapy) is $150.
  • The group therapy session rate is $110 per participant. Groups are limited to 8 participants.

I accept cash, checks, credit cards, Venmo, and PayPal.  If you pay by credit card, a 2.75% convenience fee is added to each transaction.

I am an “out of network” healthcare provider because I don‘t take insurance directly, but if your insurance covers out of network healthcare providers for psychotherapy you can still use your insurance to cover the cost of your therapy. Using your insurance starts with providing you with a “Super Bill”. A Super Bill is a detailed invoice of costs & treatment. You will receive your Super Bill about a week after your session.

The difference in using your insurance this way is you pay for your therapy up front instead of using your insurance to pay up front. There are typically 3 steps. (1) Pay for the session using one of the methods in the “What forms of payment do you accept?” section. (2) Submit the Super Bill to your insurance company (3) Your insurance company then reimburses you.

I set aside a limited number of time slots for sliding scale Clients. I accept sliding scale Clients based on schedule availability and the initial phone consultation.
